St Charles Hospital //
uplifting walls for the Amazon Ward
For one of several collaborations with The Nightingale Project, Katy was commissioned to transform the communal spaces of the Amazon Ward at St Charles Hospital, Kensington. The goal was to create a new, vibrant atmosphere – moving away from institutional off-white in favour of site-specific artworks with a bold, playful tone, specifically designed to uplift both patients and staff. Artworks were carefully conceived and crafted to enliven the ward’s communal areas, respecting their function as workplaces and respite areas.
The commission resulted in bespoke artworks for each of the five prominent locations on the ward, with a common thread tying them together to ensure a cohesive, unified visual experience
