Implausible Forms takes the idea of the maquette as a jumping off point, exploring the unrealisable, the absurd and the improvisational. The work in this group show plays with scale and materiality - dwelling with intentionality in the preliminary and experimental. Across drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, each artist tests out what it might mean to make something never-to-be-fully-realised, embracing spontaneity and expansiveness this generates.
